Keep Plodding On
I got promoted at work, outside of that, this year has been the worst of my life so far

I’m not meaning to bring the nature of this thread down however, as the upside to that is it gives me hope that I can create a more positive year in 2024

In sportsing terms definitely the Tets being top of the first division at the end of the first phase of our first season playing together. I'm super proud of the team as a whole and of my own contribution.

Non sportsingly, it's maybe a tie between successfully delivering the UK Innovation & Tech Show back in March, and then surviving the burnout that followed and quitting the FCDO.

Maybe slightly more the latter than the former.

Running wise beating my parkrun PB which had stood since my first parkrun in 2012. Also knocking 15 minutes off my 10 mile PB from last year.

Other than that just keeping on going tbh. Am hoping 2024 will be a bit more straightforward.

By chance I just blogged my proudest 2023 'achievement'.
And all I did was watch and sweat, and trust, I left it to one of my daughters to do the real work.

Staying alive.

I’d be happy with that having lost people this year.

Ironically I completed staying Alive at parkrun this year.

What single accomplishment in 2023 are you most proud of ?

Could be running ?

Could be getting a degree ? A promotion ? giving birth ?

Beating your sister at monopoly !

Personally running a sub 30 min parkrun with my Autistic son Owen was magical ;he now has 2 sub 30’s from 147 parkruns).
