Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Fabric conditioner is disgusting, a few weeks ago ds2 came home with another kid's jumper and I could smell it was all wrong from the other side of the house. Bad for marine life, bad for anyone with allergies or asthma. And often used by people in an effort to disguise the fact that they don't wash their clothes properly, air their houses or clean their washing machines, ick.

It takes more than 5 washes to get the smell out. We had a clothes swap at work and I got a few items but they were all completely stinking of smelly chemicals.

I couldn't sleep when it was really hot last week so I opened my window which is close to my neighbour's. The smell of his fabric stuff came in through my window and made sleeping even more difficult.

Fabric softners, deodorants, shampoos etc that claim they are for those with sensitive skin yet contain chemical shit that people (me included) are allergic to.

Well everything contains chemicals...It's usually perfumes I'm allergic to, but not always. Washing up liquid gives me blisters on my hands unless I use Ecover stuff, the 'sensitive' ones are just as bad.

Dvorak
I quite like fabric conditioner (mostly). There used to be a girl at work who smelt freshly laundered every morning. I just wanted to go and sniff her.

Typed out, that looks a bit weird.

Anyway, maybe some people haven't cottoned (hoho) on to the fact that the conditioners are concentrated and they only need tiny amounts?

[That does look very weird Dvorak :)]

next you'll be telling us that you actually use that nice little measuring device that comes in the cap of the conditioner bottle to make sure you only use as much as is needed - weirdo :)

me too - but Mrs Macca just sloshes "some" into the conditioner section of the tray.

[a straw poll of our circle of friends suggests there *may* be a gender bias in this behaviour :)]
