Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Frankly the use of the word 'babe' makes me want to reach for the sick bucket, never mind the amoebas incapable of stringing together two syllables :-)

BBC news on slow News Days. The discovery of Gravitational Waves I find interesting as I am a bit of a hobby scientist, but does this really warrant the first six minutes of the Six O'clock News?

The BBC. How does the very interesting discovery of gravitational waves get higher up the schedule than the NHS contract issue?

That's the beautiful thing about macs, ChrisHB :) Though fucking Microsoft still manages to tell me every 2 mins that it needs to do updates to its many products I reluctantly installed on my macbook. I might uninstall the ones I won't use.

But it's only apple machines that turn themselves into a brick if you mend them. Look up error 53.

I don't want Windows 10, and the constant reminders are starting to bug me.

I've mentioned it before but Citrix Receiver is getting on my nerves when I work from home like today. It's frozen four times before lunch and it was double that the last time I worked remotely. Why does it do that when all I am doing is reading a PDF document.
