People asking if one can be pacific about whether something may turn out to be a damp squid have been annoying me for years. 'Arks' is, however, new - at least in mid-Essex. Grrrrr.

A colleague used to frequently say that, as in "Give me the pacific(!) product code and I'll check the infantry level on the computer"! Aaaargh!!!!!!
