In a more natural world they would both be eaten by bears before they had the chance to breed.

Being asked to write lots of prescriptions for two 10mg tablets daily of a common repeatly-prescribed medication because the pharmacist can't get 20mg tablets. I think the taxpayer's money that was spent on my education may have been wasted.

So...what we need is to teach bears to drive, GlennR?

It would probably be enough if they learned to open the doors Jen.

I think I may have to walk around with a loaded gun so I can shoot the people who I don't think should be allowed to breed. Clearly I'm in the right and they're in the wrong. There isn't a court in the land who would convict me. For a list of those I'm going to target, please see the Daily Mail. And then add: People who don't indicate. People who ALWAYS stop at roundabouts. Middle lane drivers (unless they're playing the motorway game.) Smokers. Litterers. People who stop in the middle of the pavement/ aisle/ road for no good reason.

And especially watch out for those who drive in the middle lane while on the phone, stop at all the roundabouts to send/reply to a text, then light a cigarette before throwing the empty packet out of their window as they mount the nearest pavement without indicating so they can "just pop in" to the newsagent to buy their Daily Mail.

I have a feeling I might regret asking this but... Jason, what's the motorway game?

You don't need to shoot smokers. They are executing themselves. And paying LOTS of tax too. I think they are very public-spirited. What is more they won't be asking you to fork out tax to pay for their pension.

The suggestion that people who smoke just pop their clogs cleanly and without any fuss and are net contributors to the NHS budget.

Velociraptor - have a bit of sympathy for the pharmacist. What is happening is the wholesaler is out of stock because the Euro has got a bit stronger.
Whaaaaaaat?
Yes, thing is, some pharmacy chain in Belgium has phoned the wholesaler in Chessington and put in an order for five hundred thousand packs of the 20mg strength because (due to the fact that we are not in the Euro) it's suddenly a monster amount cheaper to get the same tablets from the UK than from Antwerp.
But we ARE in the EU so we can't legally stop it. We have just shipped another consignment of the 20mg tablets from the production site to Chessington for you, but sadly they will be sold out by the weekend.
The pharmacy COULD order from Brussels where they have vast piles of unsold stock, but he'd have to pay 18% more than he would be reimbursed by the NHS so he'd lose money.
Naturally we are not too pleased about it. All our stuff is being sold in quids, and the company does its accounts in Euros so we are heamorrhaging cash too.
PS I made up the numbers for illustrative purposes but that is what is happening.
