And who then say things like "that's what happens if you get in the way, Snookums" to their dog. No apologies to they cyclist who had to come to an uncontrolled stop to avoid going over the dog. Nor any recognition of the runner (me) or two other pedestrians who had to come to a halt and wait for them to sort their dog out.

Some people coming the other way had their small dog on an extendable lead, didn't reel it in in time and the dog snapped at the runner's ankles. "Sorry, it's not our dog!" they called out ... the runner just gave me that knowing look of despair!
