BT who, after I've closed my account with them, decide that the appropriate way to give me my refund is to credit my account...

Also BT, on behalf of my OH... We haven't received the Home Hub for our new house so we have no internet. OH calls them to chase it up, but they want account details which we don't have because they are all on-line and no we can't check our emails as we HAVE NO INTERNET. This went round in circles for several minutes. |

um
People sending urgent emails at 4:55pm, usually on a Friday. [How about setting up an auto-answer-like-reply and mail it at 5:01pm, saying something along the lines of "Thanks for your mail, blah blah, will look at when I'm back in on Monday"] |

My wife has made 4 phone calls to HMRC over the past week One chap said he'd ring back with an answer; he never did The subsequent 3 calls all ran to approx 75 minutes and were ended abruptly without warning. It's a shambles. How can every call centre in the UK be experiencing higher than expected call volumes. Look at the data and sort it out. |

Needed three baskets of shopping at Sainsbury's today (two at lunchtime and one this evening), using two different Nectar cards. Each basket required a rescan. A bit embarrassing for one let alone three! I wouldn't mind but I only use the SmartScan (scan as you shop) so I can get reductions with Nectar Prices. |
