It certainly does, but me reducing my carbon footprint whilst VRs examples don’t … it’s just the media / government spinning it to make the responsibility of the individual while ignoring the wider society contribution.

There are simply masses of things that we can’t do, and will require a huge societal change to correct. I’m not going to start using plastic straws and dispose of then willy nilly in protest at the royal family’s travel arrangements. There are a somethings that we can do which might result in a small benefits is what I’m saying.
