I hate all this friendly bollocks on business emails, so reduce to just regards when someone is either arguing with me (they're wrong), or reduced me to maturely stick my middle finger up at the screen. 40 years old, still acting my shoe size...

But I do often end up saying things like 'best' or 'kindest' because that seems to be the norm and everyone wants to fit in, really, don't we? On the other hand, any time I have to contact a support service I always start the message 'dear lovely (whatever) team', and that's not terribly normal.
