A sad story about a murder on the BBC news where the news presenter told us that “the family have spoken EXCLUSIVELY with our Midlands reporter”. Bragging about the exclusivity of the interview! What is actually important here???? 😡

the way my local hospital phone waiting message tells me they'll answer my call when one of their 'agents' is available. I'm not booking a holiday or trying to get through to the FBI

[^ @GordonG - as the minutes on 'hold' tick by, an image of sinister 'Matrix-like' figures in dark suits doing remote triage often creeps into my mind...

Keep refeshing my phone app to see if a CHAPS payment that was made around 2pm has arrived in my account yet. Where's my money?

Today seems to be a whole gear grinder...
British Airways - cancelled one of my flights home and rebooked me on a flight that left Heathrow 20 mins after my flight TO Heathrow had taken off and nearly 3 hours before I am due to arrive in Heathrow. Their booking system online then repeatedly said "something's gone wrong, please try later" when I tried to rebook. Their phone line says "we're having too many calls, please try later" and eventually after trying another number and waiting on hold for 20 minutes I spoke to someone who can book me on the next available connecting flight. I will now have 7 hours to kill in Heathrow.
Trying to log onto my remote system at work which worked perfectly well this morning but now just goes round and round and round and I can't click on the Turing image pin thing I need to verify myself.
Dog walker has taken the dog out early which is nice, but he'll be back early and whinging when I'm trying to work...
Delivery of bathroom stuff didn't have everything in it so will need to arrange delivery for the remaining bits.
Someone save me!

Projects with imminent deadlines that are conjured up and given to you out of the blue. Made worse by now having an outsourced Procurement Dept. that I have no control over.
(Do MPs not realise that a grant application for technical services isn't just a case of dropping Defra an email saying "Can we please have some of your money on offer?" 😡
