Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

When the speedily read terms and conditions are nearly as long as the rest of the advert.

Three phone while eating dinner, the first just as I sat down. I couldn’t ignore them because they were from my Mum’s carers and her GP practice. The same thing happened last night.

(she’s alright, it’s all to do with her forgetting to take her medication)

The way the hospital counts. Patients are swabbed on admission, on day three of admission and day 7 of admission.
This is recorded as "Day 0, Day 3, Day 7". Except if Day 0 is the 20th, Day 3 is the 22nd. That's not how numbers work!

[Not many people start counting at zero, Carp. I can see how the confusion crept in!]

[But if it's recorded at zero, which number are people skipping? Surely people know 0, 1, 2, 3?]

Signal - nothing but error messages. I am regretting the 2/5 rating I gave it. (It was only failing frequently then, not consistently.)

People who always leave a bit of their food for "Mr Manners". Somebody's going to have to do the extra work of scraping that plate into the bin.

Neither of my daughters know how to clean a plate properly. Bring back rationing and they'll soon learn to lick that platter clean.
