Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Maybe pedestrians will have to carry a bicycle bell and ring it when they’re being approached by phone idiots πŸ˜‚

I did pass somebody the other day who was walking along with a very pointy umbrella stuck out to the side- I assume to stop people getting too close!

Be careful not to assume that just because someone is looking at a phone, that they aren't aware of you. I often walk whilst playing a mobile fighting game, and I am always aware of my surroundings even if it doesn't appear that I'm looking up.

On more than one occasion I have seen people - and here, it is almost always runners - purposely running into me. They're often surprised when I turn my shoulder into them in self-defence.

On that note - humans currently grind my gears. Sure, there's some lovely ones (present company included, in the main!), but every foray into Facebook brings me Covid-deniers, Trump-fanatics, unhinged far-left zealots, and evangelical vegans. It really does make one lose hope.

[Had to differentiate from the pleasant people who just happen to be vegan, without the need to forcefully berate anyone who dares to enjoy eating meat]

(I'm pretty sure I've never met an unevangelical vegan)
