[Ah M_N, that does suck We had a holiday that was supposed to happen the last weekend in March last year - it was cancelled rather than postponed, we got money back for the accommodation, but only vouchers for the flights, which are only valid for a year - you couldn’t pay me to get on a plane at the moment, even if we weren’t in lockdown]

[luckily our flights were cancelled so actually we got that money back. but it's a triathlon training camp and the money for that (including the training, accommodation, meals, bike hire etc) far outweighs the cost of the flight]

Fragile Do Not Bend
Because the main road is closed due to a burst main, lots of traffic is ignoring the official diversion and coming down our usually quiet country lane instead.
It’s wide enough for two cars to pass easily but throw large vehicles into the mix and it means the verges are all churned up, mud is all over the road, and whenever I want to go from a run from home I have to keep jumping onto the verge or stopping in driveways for large vehicles to pass.
At the other end of the road where there is some pavement, a lorry nearly mounted the pavement right in front of me in order to pass a van making a delivery, but I was buggered if I was giving way when I was on the pavement.

I could deal with the old ones. The lockdown ones are just cringeworthy.

Crap day at work, order a proper meal through Deliveroo - roast beef, roast chicken, the works (for two of us)
Then had the pleasure of watching the contents of the meal crash to the floor as the paper bag split as it was handed from driver to housemate.
No idea how I get a refund now, as delivery driver's English was poor, and the Deliveroo website isn't very forthcoming about returns

I've never used them, JK. Is there a feedback or contact form on their website that you could use. I fully understand if you never used Deliveroo again.

[Housemate found a number to ring, chatted to a nice gentleman, and a refund is on the way. But it left us having to have freezer food as opposed to delicious pub grub. A disappointing night. I might go to bed in protest.]

Driving in the dark when it's raining. Glare from headlights on wet roads, aaaarrrrgggghhhhh! Modern cars have headlights that are more suited to searching for German bombers over London or spotting rabbits in fields than illuminating the patch of road in front of the driver. Why do we even need headlights in urban areas anyway?
