I encourage my 5yo grandson... We pass a level-crossing that's closed for 40 mins/hr on the way to and from school. There are signs every 20m saying it's both horrid and illegal to leave your engine running.

Then finding M27 closed and a diversion round Romsey and Chilworth.

Then finding M3 / M25 exit closed and a diversion round Surrey.

But pleased to get through M23 roadworks before while we could still move.

Oh - and then finding the French air traffic control are on strike. I hope the pilot can just avoid France, we’re not going there anyway.

The British (English?) obsession with Center Parcs. At May half-term we're going to France, with ferries, accommodation and a hotel on the way back it's cost us just under £1k, the same week at our nearest Center Parcs would cost £2048 for accomodation only. Do people genuinely pay this to sit under a bubble in their trunks?
