Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

[I'd not class myself as an athlete, but when I run so does my nose ~ actually it runs better, more quickly and with more 'gusto' than I do :-o ;-) ]

[Me too Decorum. Most runs are at least a two-tissue job, half marathons three or four :-0]

[same here. Best bit of advice I got was to buy proper handkerchiefs. Much better than multiple paper tissues that disintegrate or end up in washing machine!]

[At work we use some large blue wipes, about 1/2 metre square. They are very strong and ideal for a supersonic nose blow!]

Crimbo, Crimbers and other such diminutives. They're just rude. And Xmas remains beyond the pale.

Another one with a nose that runs faster than I do. Big handkerchiefs are the way to go. I never mastered snot rockets.

I smile at "Xmas" because (1) because in algebra x represents the unknown which is quite a good way to approach God, and (2) because a student of theology might write the Greek letter chi (X) for Christ, thus Xian for Christian and Xmas for Christmas.

It's still beyond the pale, though.

That may be along the lines of Deck of Cards by Wink Martindale.
