Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Indeed. A rich man's sense of arrogance and entitlement. However he will have a very good lawyer that the person from a crap estate will not and quite possibly avoid the correct punishment.

People in the euthanasia debate talking as if it were about a "right to die".

You can take your own life, but there is no right to have someone help you.

That is a massive difference.

Being contacted repeatedly about the same job role by different recruiters. FOUR times in the past week. All the same job.

Having to be unnaturally nice to all my patients because it's Patient Survey Week for me. Having to be especially unnaturally nice to the ones who come in conspicuously waving a questionnaire.

People who go, "I'm sorry, but ... " before contradicting someone or saying something they know isn't going to go down well with their audience, and then getting upset when they're challenged. Because starting off with "sorry" gives you carte blanche to say what you like, doesn't it?

(I have one of these in my workplace. They think everyone is out to get them for some reason I can't quite fathom.)
