Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Speaking of Europcar - discovering that meet and greet drop off at Leeds station actually means parking in the multi-storey and putting the key in a box, but only after waiting for 40 minutes, trying three different local phone numbers with no reply and speaking to someone in the central call centre who could give me no more specific instructions than 'it says it opens at 8 somebody should show up'. (Even if I had spotted the box, which isn't by the kiosk with their logo on there was no indication as to where I should actually park the thing)

Trying to get a twin trolley in the supermarket. There's a slot for them by the parent & child parking, but there's usually about six 'singleton' trolleys jammed in front of them, meaning I need to have two x £1 coins, strong arms, and children that aren't being cooked in the car in order to get a trolley I can use.

Nobody seems be able to spell "drawer" any more.

I once failed to hear a race briefing for a December 10k. The course had been cut short due to ice. I thought for a blissful moment I had a monster PB, despite what my GPS was telling me about the distance...

On the whole I'm in favour of political correctness ... it's generally a good thing for most of the people.

This bollocks with the BBC though; "So called Islamic State", "the group calling itself Islamic State", "self-styled Islamic State". FFS, just call it Islamic State (or ISIS) ! We all know who you're talking about !

It's not political correctness Jeff, it's journalistically correct. ISIS call themselves a 'state' but the area occupied by ISIS is not recognised by any official authority as a true state and ISIS is not recognised as a true government.

The bloody dog is grinding my gears. Won't settle. Every 5 minutes she gets up and stands in front of me with pleading eyes and saggy tail.

People who walk across the front of you a little way ahead when you're walking along the pavement to put stuff in their car. Then knowing perfectly well you're approaching closely, not being able to wait one second, but walking back quickly right across your body because they're so en-fucking-titled and rude.

Oh and po-faced muthafuckas who purposely walk out onto the pavement when you're walking along, glaring at you and daring you to scowl back or give them a look. If they want a fight, they should take up boxing or join a haters club.
