Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Similarly ... "I like your hat. It's quite unique."

It's either unique or it's not. There aren't degrees of uniqueness.

My friend's mother is a teacher. In her North London primary school she had 3 children in one class all very trendily called "Unique".

[in response to Metro-Nome on the last page...]

People who don't reply-all when you have copied in multiple people for a valid reason.

People are really shit aren't they?

After the Manchester bombing at the Arianne Grande concert, thousands of people applied for the free tickets who hadn't been involved.

Some bloke who has been done for fraud by trying to claim his wife and son were killed in the Greenfell Tower disaster.

And on the radio tonight, the parents of the little Lowery lad (his first name escapes me) having to warn people of fake charity sites in his name as he is days away from dying.

Makes you feel sick. Or it does me anyway.

Cackleberry, this tweet - or more precisely its replies - might go some way to restore your faith in people.

I read it thanks to metronome and sat with tears rolling down my face in a cafe.

Leavers balls, proms etc - it's that season again and I can feel my blood boiling at the US import and all the completely unecessary guff that goes along with it.

That's great Duchess! I'm so out of touch though as I have no idea who most of the people with the blue ticks are!

Nor had I to be honest (And I didn't even know that blue ticks were a *thing*) but enough of them to be impressed.
