Jono.
there's a mini roundabout, just before I get on the M6 - HOMEWARD BOUND - its not placed very well and I insist on navigating my way round it correctly, much to the annoyance of everybody behind me

Of course, as a cyclist, I can go whatever way I choose round or over a mini-roundabout in much the same way that traffic lights are optional for me.

[Why can't they just share the Fruit Fly's trousers? With six little legs, sewing the seams must be a complete nightmare ]

There's a roundabout at Pontefract Racecourse that you have to go around to get to the car park on the way to parkrun. Well, when I say "have to go around", many people seem to think they don't, and I've often gone round it to find the car that was behind me trying to take the same exit at the same time.

There's a double mini roundabout near where I live, and many people have no idea what to do with it despite road markings.
The site of my only rear - end shunt as I'd gone onto the first, stopped at the thick broken white line as a car was coming round from my right on the second, and bang!

Poorly marked lanes on roundabouts, where you get in the correct lane according to the sign, follow where the lines lead you, then suddenly you are in the wrong lane! Then you have to change lanes and annoy the locals who are used to the quirks of their roundabout.

I have noticed recently that where a roundabout has two lanes, some people have a tendancy to drive through with quite a flat line. If the other vehicle is quite large it can be quite intimidating and they get very close to my car.

The Highway Code used to instruct taking a straight line across an empty, two-lane roundabout.
On the other hand, FDNB, you are quite right and I keep thinking I'll write to my MP about it. On a similar topic, when heading SW on the M3 and it splits into M27 east and M27 west, at one point there is an overhead sign in the middle lane indicating you can go either way from the middle lane, but the road markings are "M27E". The sign is correct and the road marking is wrong.

A particular delight I discovered for the first time recently is the roundabout at the A1/M25 junction. I was travelling north on the A1 and wanted to turn right onto the M25 so got in the right hand lane. The right hand lane moves slightly left at each set of lights, and a new right hand starts from nothing - however to go to the M25 you have to move over into this new right hand lane. And this happens about 3 times around the roundabout! If I'm in a lane marked for my exit, I want to be able to stay in it and not have to keep changing lanes as I go around.
