Don't the GPs in your surgery own telephones, Carp? I would be complaining in the loudest of voices at that treatment. Last time the surgery told me I had to see a GP about a test it turned out to be my iron levels were a tiny amount below normal when I tried to donate blood and the GP was amazed they'd rung to drag me in when I just needed a few iron pills from the chemist. Could they not write you a letter?!

Our surgery offers telephone appointments. They're often a few days ahead, but maybe you ask if your practice does the same?

BT's "I won't insult you by making a silly offer" followed by a very insulting offer, accompanied by the comment, "It is not our policy to..."
Ombudsman, here we come.

It grinds my gears when people have their time wasted by NHS inefficiencies.
It also grinds my gears when *my* patients twine on about not being able to get a appointment. We have loads of appointments. You might not get to see the GP of your choice at precisely 4.50pm on their day off, but you can see *your* GP within 10 days or *any* GP the same day.

... Sadly, 97% of facebookers won't repost this, but ...
Oh, piss off! Do you honestly think that reposting something will somehow actually help save the Lesser Spotted Dwarf Zombie, or whatever it is this time, survive and thrive?

1 month wait to see a GP. Two week wait to see a nurse. Discovering your GP can't read the BNF and writes you the wrong dose. No, one injection every two weeks isn't the same as 6 injections in two weeks.

[Our surgery merged or something with another one. Since then it's been even worse than before trying to get an appointment. On the day appointments are for urgent problems only but any routine appointment has to be booked in advance. A lot in advance.]

Smart Energy advert. Runner crosses the line and asks for her time and the official says about 3 hours. Annoying on so many levels. runner shouldn't be asking the official for the time Official shouldn't be talking to her He turns round and misses other athletes coming over line He wouldn't have time as he only has a clipboard Etc etc. Grrrr
I still can't watch their wedding advert either
