Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I wasn't allowed a Chopper. My mother said that scores of children were falling down between the handlebars and getting asphyxiated fatally to death. My friend Kathleen got a Shopper and thought she was the bee's knees. I had to make do with a two-wheeled Tri-Ang scooter until I got my cousin's hand-me-down bike when I was eight.

Those Triangs were great. My cousin had one. Lots of sharp edged metal to slice young ankles.

I didn't get a bike until I was 14 as my mum thought I'd be run over by a lorry. I was terrified of it.

I've a couple of choppers in the garage, in the rack next to the bike :D

As a nipper I had a Tomahawk.

[Until quite recently I never got on with cycling. If I took a hand off the handle bar to try to signal everything went all wobbly :-o . Just off the grip, not waggling it around, literally as soon as I loosened my grip to lift a hand ... *wobble*. And I considered riding hands free to be an unearthly dark science :-o . Then I became very ill and became able to take my hands off of the handle bar without a sudden 90 degree reorientation :-) ]

People or more accurately newspapers who say Mouth to Mouth that isn't a process it's CPR.

You have idiots walking around who think they are Harry Potter and can breath life into people

I had a red Tomahawk and then a black Roebuck. Everyone else seemed to have a Chopper. I seemed to stop using a bike once I went to senior school and I find it really odd if I get back on any bike nowadays.

I had a red tomahawk! Loved it.

It really annoys me when people talk about working from home like it's an option for everyone. Ffs. I treat people. They are generally in their own home or in some kind of unit. I can't work from my home.

We had a Tomahawk and a Budgie (was to a Grifter as Tomahawk was to a Chopper) between me and my younger twin brothers. Fortunately we also had a pair of skates (think Rollerball, 1975) :-)
