Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

HSBC. Constantly closing branches meaning that I must use PC banking or go miles out of my way to pay in or do anything face-to-face.

Politically Correct Banking, must be a pain in the arse.

Luckily I have a branch of my bank down the road and it is pretty handy occasionally.

Grown women who call each other 'babes' e.g.

"Well done babes, you did it"

Possibly whilst pouting

Patients who call me "babes". I assume they're angling for the nastiest medicine or the most painful injections ;)

[Seriously dino? Patients come in and call you "babes" :-o ?

I am picturing people, probably of unlikely skin hue, slumping in a chair and saying "I don't know what's wrong with me babes, I really don't, but could you just give me something for it?"]

There are people who call everyone "babes" and don't change their mode of address for different situations.

(Tink used to call one of her teachers "babes". I have no idea how she got away with it.)
