Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hark the Helegant Angels Sing
The onoing pointless circular discussions with BT.
[They rang me yesterday and today and have calls to me booked for tomorrow (complaints team and Sunday (technical team), and have been ringing almost every day since November...]

Automated menus when you call someone and spend 5 minutes listening to a load of bollocks while going through different menus. Seems to take longer to get someone than it does actually talking to them.

BT again. Ringing to find out if I am happy with their phone service and the package that I'm on with them, but using it as an intro to try and sell me their broadband.

I asked if there was a more appropriate phone package for my usage, to which they suggested that I look on their website to review their phone packages. Not interested in helping me with that question one iota!

"Cringe" used as an adjective. For example, the DJ on Absolute Radio this morning describing an interview as "the most cringe moment of my life".

Fragile Do Not Bend
That the password on the new 'managed print' system at work is referred to as a PIN. Surely if it can contain letters, it can't be called a PIN. In fact, as it has to be at least 9 characters, most people's are likely to be more letters than numbers.

And of course, everyone keeps calling it a PIN number. *bites tongue*
