Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Cyclists on tow paths who think that ringing a bell immediately before turning a blind corner under a narrow bridge makes it okay to keep going at speed. Another couple of inches and at least one of us would have been testing the ice.

Credit at least for having and using a bell though....

Cyclists who think "Cyclists Dismount" means "keep cycling, you're fine, don't worry about it".

Also, drivers who think something similar when signs flash *40* SLOW DOWN on the motorway.

I used my bell and slowed right down going past several walkers with and without dogs today.

I ran on the GU canal down south on saturday and every cyclist used a bell, at some distance too. Very good.

Without a red border, those signs are advisory ;)

I can see why people ignore them; the sign operators give warnings like '40 queue ahead' when there's no queue often enough to encourage regular drivers to disregard the signs...

... then occasionally there's a queue ahead...

People who walk zig-zags on the pavement. Some folk seem to want to maximise their obstructiveness.
