I think it was something to do with Fetch not wanting to make personal data (DOB) public? It was a while ago so can't remember exactly. You still get a birthday banner on your home page on the day but I don't think anyone else can see it.

Most users don't use full names, however, if somebody wanted to find it out in many cases it may be relatively easy to find out (e.g. using your Race results to look up your finish times, etc). |
