Just bought some "Ronhill aspiration racing shorts" (v posh name) and a really nice light T-shirt from a Canadian company I can't remember off the top of my head. Nice and cool set for the marathon. Am going to have to test it all out so will just have to get out there and be bold and cold!

Just ordered a Garmin Forerunner 205 from Wiggle. I'm fed up estimating the distance I've run. Hopefully, it will show I'm running further than I think I am!

Finally found a shop that stocked New balance 902's - hope that they are as garishly orange as they appear on the New Balance website.

A rather excellent technophobe-friendly Polar HRM and a Cateye bike computer arrived beautifully wrapped on my pillow yesterday, and today I received a cheque which will go some way towards buying proper bike shoes.
Tinkerbell and I slipped into Snow + Rock today to take our minds off her impending tooth extraction under GA and very rumbly tummy. I emerged with a pair of Pearl Izumi cycle shorts which were in the sale, and the reassurance that eL Bee! and I couldn't have got the ski boots we bought in Switzerland any cheaper at home

Extract about the book Fetch has ordered - think he is taking new job seriously?
"The contributors discuss the ways in which the Internet affects both familial and social relationships, communal and civic involvement, social capital and work patterns and lifestyle. Civic intelligence is presented as a nascent concept from which future social networks of increased public advocacy, scrutiny and action may be sourced. Other reported developments include agent-based community systems to model and support communal memory and social knowledge."

Handlebar mirror for my bike.
A backup pair of NB 767s should be showing up any day now.
Getting very bored of waiting for my compleat idiot's book, which clearly isn't even breaking sweat on the trip from the supplier
