Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

What do you know today, that you did not yesterday?

Milk in Asda today (23-09-21) has a best-before date of 04-10-21. That's a *long* time.

[That was a literal LOL. Nearly spat a mouthful of mushroom stew.]

It's a mix of water and urea that you have a separate tank for on some diesels which cleans up the exhaust gases I think.

Oddly despite its name it is a clear liquid. Screenwash however is blue. So when one member of the household mixes up a job lot of screenwash in an old 10l unlabeled canister the chance of comic confusion arises :-)

No lasting damage I hope!!! At least draining it didn't cost me the £350 I was quoted to get someone out to it; I'm no car mechanic, but a choice between a £6 fix and a £350 one and I'll try DIY if the internet helps me out!

That reminds me of when my sister decided it was a good idea to keep surgical spirit in a lysterine bottle after she accidentally cracked the ss bottle. I discovered this when the mouthwash was particularly effective and took out the feeling in my mouth for several days

indeed Dio. On Dr Who Georgia Moffett played a character who was the cloned daughter of the Doctor, David Tennent.

so she ended up marrying the Time Lord who played her dad, while her real dad was also a Time Lord!
