However, the best price each week this year feature feels a little like "here's what you could have won"! And, for the example I looked at (Mizuno Wave Inspire 10) none of the current three cheapest shops had them in my size (8.5 so not an issue of uncommon size).

I am a bit surprised that size is an issue on any current model. I actually found this by looking for Wave Inspire 11, hoping that one doesn't get the bad press the 10 got for being flimsy.
