Thanks guys I really badly needed my coke when I saw. Everything was going really well until miles 8/9/10 when a niggle blew up so back went my target time but hey I had a great day and great to meet a few new faces although briefly.

Was good to see both of you :) and fab tto meet so many new to me famous fetchies :)

sorry I gave up early and didn't help tidy up or get to make the pub - I suddenly realised how exhausted I was after the last couple of weeks and couldn't stand up any longer. - Having Brian to escort me back to Kings cross seemed like a sensible plan.

Yes WELL DONE Kwala, it was a military operation - I loved your Suitcase of Wonder :-) Fabulous first Fetchpoint experience, loved every minute. I had the suncream Crooked-smile but like a muppet didn't actually put any on myself, got a cracking t-shirt tan/burn line now :-O

What. A. Day. gin

Trying to think of my favourite quotes from today and it's got to be one from Nellers's Little Book of Philosophy: 'Come on, nothing lasts forever!'
Or perhaps Bru-Bru's tough love approach: 'Come on, I didn't come here to watch people walking!'
I also can't stop thinking about poor Patrick, whose head hadn't realized that his legs were no longer on board with the whole marathon thing: wonder if he finished??

IM, if patrick was the guy adopting the "full foster" at 22 he was taken off by the St Johns in a wheelchair.:-( At least that's all that happened to him. It looked like he was going to hit the ground hard very soon.

And my actual quote was "That pain won't last forever but the medal will".;-)
