day five, very impressive bruising and still loads of pain in the lower stomach everytime i stand, sit, bend turn, over in bed etc. no chance of walking far at the minute never mind running or cycling.on the plus side the swelling has gone down a hell of a lot !!

as i have a very physical job i have booked into docs tuesday for a sick note

right then, thought i'd put my story to an end (i hope) ! I had the snip on a tuesday, (god awful experience), agony/very sore for a week (lots of paracetamol and ibuprofen together and xbox to take the mind off ;-), sore for another week then everything settled ok. i have a manual job so had two week off sick which i deff needed. I went on hols after 11 days so didn't do any exercise until i got back 19 days sfter op but i would say that i could have run after 14 days. I did a steady but windy 20m bike ride after 19 days which was ok but a little tender on the rougher roads and i have just done (20days post snip) a 2mile steady run which was completely fine, although feeling v unfit.

all in all one of the most unpleasent 15 minutes ( and uncomfortable following week) of my life. If it hasnt worked then tough cause there is no way i'm going through it again. just glad it's all over

I apologise in advance for this but the sentence "I have a manual job" in the midst of this made me snigger childishly.
That said, I am full of admiration for anyone who undergoes this procedures, while at the same time wanting to snap "For heaven's sake man, try having a baby!" ;-)

i will have a manual job 16 and 20 week post op lol !!! having witnessed the birth of my son, i am in full admiration of mothers everywhere. if it was down to men (me in particular) to be in charge of pro creation (give birth) then mankind would have died out a long long time ago !! i am a wuss and proud of it ;-)
