Thanks for the tips Steve. I might resort to that in future if I need to, but luckily today’s 35-miler (heading the opposite way from last time!) registered fully, and I think might also have been a bit faster than last week anyway. Possibly wind assisted in a few places, but riding head-on into it in quite a few others!

Yes JCB I'm trying to build up to that running 5mile/10km irregularly it's quite a jump that might take some weeks

I’m now synchronised, promotion in both today, relegation looms next week and so ad infinitum. Until I get significantly slower or older or both :-)

I'm plummeting through both running leagues, having been relegated in each of the last 4 or 5 weeks. Am now in both relegation spots this week. Not many more weeks before I hit the very bottom. :-)

I'm playing promotion-relegation ping pong between D8 and D9 for several weeks now. I don't plan on racing anything fast in the foreseeable future so it'll continue for a while.

About This Thread

Start in the bottom division, and compete over seven different distances against your rivals for weekly promotion!

How It Works
1) The game takes your best times from training and racing over the last 12 months.

2) If you've got the fastest 5k in your division, you get 20 points. If you're second fastest, you get 19 points, etc.

3) Your FIVE best scores are used to calculate your total. So if your scores at each distance are 20,20,20,20,20,10,5 the lowest two are discarded, and your total points would be 100.

4) Promotion and relegation happen every Monday at midday.
