The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Do some of you have some sort of notification software for when someone logs running. I can't believe how quickly I was sold literally seconds after uploading a run just now?

I imagine they are following your training, and therefore get a notification any time you log any training, whatever that training is, not just running.

Flatlander, after Baroness's post I worked out that must be what people were doing - so I am now following a whole host of prospects (not doing brilliantly at the game at the moment, but am planning to dabble in some day-trading).

Also, it’s very annoying to get a notification that someone has run when you don’t own them . . .

I wondered what was going on with folk suddenly following my training! :-)

For info, at least another day off but my price will not decrease. And advanced notice, I have entered Centurion Running's One Community event later this month...

I actually don't follow anyone's training but do work on my laptop throughout the day, so have the Trader screen open and tend to notice when runs are uploaded fairly quickly.

How To Play
As a trader, your job is to pick the runners that you think will increase in value.

You start with 1000 credits, and can use these to purchase shares in runners. If you think their mileage is about to drop, then it's time to sell.

Runner values are calculated based on the total volume of running mileage completed in the last 90 days. Values are recalculated as soon as a runner has logged a run.

Runners get a notification when you buy shares, but not when you sell them.

The value of a runner can go up or down, but don't threaten them. Have fun!
