Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

An how long does it take to recover from? Obviously some factor of the distance you're used to, but how's everyone feeling 5 days later?

pmo - this is what I just posted on Twitter:

"After eating 1 billion calories, taking the day off on Monday and having 4 early nights in a row, I am still not reovered from #TR24"

I have fallen asleep on the sofa every day after work too. I have however just managed to run 12 miles. :)

Muscle wise I could have run on Monday, but the feet aren't letting me yet..blisters still healing and bits of skin hanging off one toe ;) I did do 13 laps though, hoping to get running again by middle of next week. Tiredness wise same as Liliaicha, didn't think being awake for over 36 hours would still be affecting me 4 days later!

I've run every day since TR24 but then again not running wasn't an option anyway ;-)

The lack of sleep/decent food affected me more than the running. That said I only did 30 miles, nothing like these nutters ^^^^^^.

However, the lack of sleep/decent food has only affected my recovery, and didn't impact on my running that much. Snacking continuously, rather than eating a meal seems to be the way to go for me.

This event has done something great for me, only the 4 laps but I am now seriously contemplating the idea of a duo for next year.

Had a great recovery from the 24 miles and learnt such a lot. Bring on TR 2012 :-) :-) :-)
