These posts displayed are from earlier in the day that I’ve already read, and are at the top of the page. There are 3 or 4 posts below this on the page, and the last of the 3 or 4 was new to me.

When jumping down the page, the browser calculates the amount of travel - but it might be doing this before the image loads - and the image then pushes the lower content further down.
