MissC - anything in accounting really. I'm finding it a struggle as I've been out of work for almost 4 years now and a lot of city companies won't even consider my CV when they see the career break. I've been looking at (and applied for a couple of) "returnships", but they seem to be for more senior, career focused women and I just don't need that level of pressure any more.

That all sounds excellent kwala. I hope you find a job to suit you - I think it's crazy that career breaks are seen as something weird or negative.

I was thinking about this for a friend the other week - and we were playing with actually saying something about what you've been doing on the CV - finding use of skills in what your doing - like the amazing organisational skills of running a home, something linked to team work if involved in running etc etc etc... just a thought - keep looking and vibes all the time as you never know what's round that corner
Well - I've taken the plunge - ordered some new run shoes - my current ones are terrible and at least a year and a half old!! "The shame"
ran this morning !YES! Parked car even further away today and off for a walk in the sun soon
Hope your all having a good day
Green tea today to - NO COFFEE! What!? Good moves

Kwala - drop me a PM if you feel like it. We've been doing a lot of qualified accountant recruiting recently and might be again before too long (civil service, relatively good on work-life balance).
Currently a ban on London recruitment due to real estate issues but that ban will disappear eventually...

I'm finally getting back on track with my Beachy prep. The problem (well, one of them anyway) was that I'd downloaded a plan which, on reflection, bore no resemblance to the type of running I do, or the time I have available, and so every time a run popped up as a message I just ignored it. Which obviously wasn't very helpful!
I've now gone back to good old tried and and tested Hal Higden. Day 2 today. Onwards and upwards (but slowly, mind, my legs are knackered already).

Northern I’m sure follows Hal... it’s great to be on track. I’ve always wanted to do beachy
My new shoes arrived today, I’m pretty sure they are the same as Laura’s! If they are that’s a sign of good things. I took them out for a 2.5 mile walk. All good. Run in them tomorrow!

I felt the full force of Friday today - couldn't stir myself.. so instead I had some extra sleep and will run when I get back tonight
It's full wall to wall sun here - I've just got back from a 2 mile walk up to our little village - more Christmas gifts in hand! I've sort of started a campaign on my own about keeping our local shops afloat and buying only from small retailers (Massive fail there with the trainers though!) but I must say some of the gifts' I've found this week are totally brilliant! Plus it's a reason for a walk
Had a incident with the boss today and tears on my part - one thing I also want to explore in the "Can" gang is our feelings and our way of dealing with demonds.. my issue is I should have just gone to him on this thing in the first place and said "what do you want to do" instead I tried to be all "new woman" about it and sort it all myself - however I have made a right old pickle and am now really wound up - hence why when a week later I went to speak to him about it it ended in him totally loosing his rag and me afterwards feeling like a stupid little girl and crying (not in front of him)
Normally I would eat after something like this - today I went for a walk, did some nice shopping and then had a donut, so not totally binge but there you are
Some work to be done there linked to "can"
