Evening folks :-) hope this finds you all well

Just wondering how everyone is doing and coping with lockdown .

Trying to start back running after a leg niggle thats floored me for about 6 weeks. Fingers crossed the longer evenings will help although I still prefer a 6.00am run now.

Having moved 100 miles across country, my new local running club has walking sessions, starting today. Did one - 5km in 1 hour which is a gentle start. Great countryside as well. Encouraging.

Hi folks, how’s things? Lockdown is going well here with us working from home- this is saving us both 50 minutes commute each way so with the extra hour & 40 mins saved each day I am able to do more running! I have had some injuries and niggles along the way and right now feel like I need a hip replacement! I did just do my highest mileage month though! Be back to work soon though I expect and normal running levels will return! I hope you are all keeping well, staying safe & plodding as much as makes you happy.

I'm still on my running hiatus ... just before Lockdown #01 I was told that I might have a problem with my heart and that I 'could drop dead at any moment!' (... quite the squeaky bum moment). A year on ... and I'm still waiting for investigation and I still have to not exert myself ... just in case ...

Can I pop in. Just trying to get fit again, my first goal is nothing fancy just to run non stop for 20 minutes

Wow Dec that must have been scary. Hope you can be seen for investigations soon. Hi night owl - best of luck getting going - some nice weather would help but the forecast for the next few days is not great is it?! After a couple of lovely days it’s gone wintery here! I have a virtual 10k to do anytime this month which will be fun, I already have the medal but I have to earn it!

1) Keep doing my leg exercises and add ankles to the plan
2) Cto5k/10k my way
3) Concentrate on 5k then 10k times
4) Try to get to +300 miles in a year (plus 1000 walking miles)
5) Arrive at the BH marathon start line fit and healthy, and have fun whilst covering the challenge

1) to start building some strength and flexibility work into my week
2) to get back in to walking every day for at least 30 mins
3) to shift some of the extra heft I've gained this year
