Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm up by around 90 miles to date off the back of a good cycle of marathon training. 12 months ago my running fell apart when an ITB issue caught up with me at the Uttoxeter half. Physio and a significantly better attitude to strength training in that I now do it, has me in a much better place this year.

I've not just run further than last year - my 2025 mileage so far is my 6th highest mileage year in the 17 years I have logged on fetch.

Still the small matter of a marathon on Sunday, then hopefully lots more miles throughout the rest of the year!

162 up. Trending slightly back towards last year's line because last year I had a marathon in early May whereas this year the marathon was mid-April and the taper and recovery have reduced my training volume.

I do, and my mileage should be a little higher in May.
