Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Sigh
Today's got me my 28-day streak badge, and had to work for it too; the snow was like running in soft sand, dragging my feet down!

Merry Fizzmas :-)
Blimey, that’s proper snow, well done on the run. Nothing here at all.

Well done Sigh - very jealous of the white stuff - nothing here at all

Also - while I'm on - I'm most impressed with your diligence and efficiency numbers

Well done Sigh - both for the badge and the run in the snow!

Thanks for the info BlueArmy & Sigh - that was what I’d worked it out as, but didn’t trust my adding up!

Thinking of giving this a go in January -but I’m quite apprehensive as I’ve never run for more than 7 days consecutively, so not sure if it’s perhaps a bit too ambitious?

Jennyh - I did this in September having not run more than 7 days consecutively, and not generally running more than 6 miles either. I stuck to the prescribed distances, took it all very steadily and got through it OK. Had a few niggles, but they seemed to improve with the running.

Sigh - not well-timed snow, you'll definitely have earned the RtS badge. Congrats on the 28 days.

You'll never know if you don't try ;)

The key, if you're not sure of yourself, is probably not to attempt too much at the start - it may well seem a bit weird only going out for 1 or 2 k but it will soon build and you'll be glad of the shorter days later on.

Jenny you can always bow out if needed but it’s surprising how better as the month goes on you start to feel. I am waiting till February to come back.

Jenny, I think you can do it as your average month’s training is more than the minimum for RtS. I found it OK spreading the same mileage out over more days and only felt it in the last week when it was a higher mileage week than I was used to.

1) Add the digits of the date together e.g 18th = 1+8 = 9km, 20th = 2+0 = 2km.

2) Run that distance on the relevant date to colour it in.

3) Complete the whole month to get a badge.
