I'm admitting defeat on this one. I don't know why, but I ran out of steam completely at four miles yesterday and missed the target. This was my first attempt at it and I will have another go in the New Year sometime.

Sending best wishes Synge. But it ain’t life or death. Be happy for all those miles that you have put in and let your body have a bit of recovery time so you’re ready to go again. February is looking good. 😉

Requisite (for me - and my attempt at a RtS in miles) nine miles achieved by taking a long route back after dropping the car in for a service this morning.
Stay with it folks if you can - just the big finish and victory lap left

Hi JW - yes I am.
I *think* there's just two of us left this month - myself and maccathecracker - but am happy to be corrected if someone knows different

If it's not right, it's not right, so you're sensible to stop Synge.
I delayed my run until late morning as the fog and ice was really dodgy first thing. Luckily the club baton in our relay was waiting nearly 4 km away so by the time I'd run and picked him up, found somewhere suitable to hide him again and run home it was 9k practically on the nose
I thought that these last few days would be really hard but today and yesterday felt very good. Admittedly, I'm running *really* slowly, that might be why!

Slow is, on most occasions, the best way. Lots of supporting info says run slower.

I really thought I was going to throw the towel in. Today has been a bad day but finally got out for the rest of the miles.
Here's hoping tomorrow is a better day

That will be me then. A post dinner run coming up for me, so slow and steady or fast and pukey.
