Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Such a great idea.

1967 here, doubt I will do it in a year because book clubs plus I really need to get my 'to read' pile lower.

Hello, this looks fun
1965 for me - I quite fancied Dune as I've never read it, but it would take me a year on it's own. There was a lot of fantasy on the list, especially Michael Moorcock, but I read most of those when I was stil at school. I'm starting with David Lodge The British Museum is Falling Down - I've read a lot of his but not this one

Ooh That's a good one HB - I think I must have read that one but I have just had a look on my bookshelf and can't see it. I must put some David Lodge on my list too,

I keep changing my mind about how I am going to do this challenge. I'm now wondering whether I should, as far as possible, do books that I already have but have never re-read. Those on the decluttering thread would probably point out that if you are not going to read a book again then it should go to the charity shop but I have so many books I couldn't part with but that I have only read once

My first book is going to be Winterwood by Dorothy Eden, never heard of it but like the sound of it.

One of the ones I have lined up is Winterwood by Patrick McCabe - I wonder how many other Winterwoods there are? Good title.
