Blimey! Didn't expect to be reading about substantial changes today so thought it was safe to dip into the thread! NQ picks up time on a flat stage - so tomorrow he'll be out the back on a mountain one? Pleased for Knox, despite his penchant for wearing silly hats in interviews, 8th looks quite secure with 10th being 12+mins. Wonder what the Movistar team bus will feel like today... |

He's fairly secure isn't he. Enough of a gap not to worry too much about having to hunt anything down.

Movistar can at least feint double attacks now, even if Quintana doesn't have the legs, send him up, force Jumbo Visma to close it down then send Valverde on the counter. It's possible to lose a couple of minutes in the blink of an eye, and Roglic was vulnerable in the Giro late on. He does look stronger this time round admittedly.

Roglic still has a couple of mins right? Should still be safe given he's stronger than the other two?

See elsewhere, so I can't take credit for it:- "Cycling is a complex sport in which Movistar race against themselves, and at the end of the race Quickstep win" |

Roglic should be safe, yeah ... just this year's Giro.

That's a great assessment larkim I can understand why Quintana is on the move, he's been a bit flaky at times but Movistar (and Valverde in particular) have been doing him over for the past few years whilst publicly stating otherwise. Landa isn't staying long either, there must be some management issues somewhere. |
