Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I must have run at least 50 races, but I still can't manage to pin my number on straight or without attaching the back of the T-shirt to the front.

Why isn't there a Fetch tutorial for this kind of thing? ;-)

I know what do mean, I put my vest on (to stop me pinning it to the back), put the pin through the number and I pinch a bit of top to put the pin through. I am sure there are better ways but this gets me by.

Race belts?

That's what l use.... and if the distance is long enough, you can stash gels on them as well.

I get someone else to pin it on while I'm in the shirt!

Line the number up with the logo on your vest -FETCH logo is excellent for this- or with the lowest part of the curve in it. Place a flat part of a recycled cereal packet inside the vest and pin away - stops the annoying practice of pinning through front & back! :-o Readjust

*ahem* .....the number as you pin. All this is best done on a large, flat surface.

The first race I did, I didn't know about the whole safety pins thing. I thought the number must be adhesive. Well, it looked adhesive right? So I was standing amongst a couple of thousand people licking the back of my number and pressing it to my chest.

Ha, McG - that's brilliant.

These days I use those press-on number-securer things (they probably have a more elegant proper name than that). They're less faff than safety pins but not quite as flat and neat as they pinch the paper a bit.

LOL McGoohan!

I once pinned mine through my vest and my running bra, didn't know I'd done that til I got stuck getting changed at the end of the race...
