Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Event Clips Fitz?

You do realize you're meant to put a hole in your race number before putting the dimple on the back of the clip through the hole ...

Dorfix, Fitz clipdorfix.com ?

I got some provided at a race and used them until I lost bits. Quite handy. My original race number had punched holes: its actually quite hard to punch through most race numbers though (you can also, I see, buy a special mini punch).

Now I'm back to safety pins, I find a flat surface and have a Zen couple of minutes pinning my number straight. Unless I make an arse of it, when it's not quite as Zen.

I don't much care if it's not straight as long as it doesn't flap. By the time I have travelled, arrived and taken off the hoodie most numbers are pretty crumpled.

Indeed - the way of Zen often involves unwarranted perspective and scanning of the event horizon.

I'm going to try licking the back of mine next time ;-)

Crumpled is fine, in fact I usually crumple mine deliberately before putting it on, since then it flaps less.

Sometimes it involves the acceptance of having stuck a pin into your finger.

I can offer no advice on the pinning of numbers...
But I can say that the spare pins kept on your race pack for said occasions are frowned upon by airport security :-p

LOL...

Sympathies, RIC.

The metalwork in my replaced hip upsets airport security too.

I don't have that excuse but I am frequently stopped at airports - I must just look suspicious. It's a family joke :)
