Last day for hiders to pick their spot :-)

I *think* I've got a functioning game, but I guess tomorrow will tell. As I'm currently nursing a calf problem, I'll be heading out on my bike to see who I can sniff out :-)

If you've been found, you should get a notification that will take you to the game page; and on the game page, you'll see a feed of everyone who's been found. As a seeker, I'll get notifications when I find people too. And of course, when you're found, you also become a seeker - so if that's the case, report in here to work with the other seekers to plan your coverage of the grid.

Once we start getting live data, I'll try to beef up the game pages a little bit; and no doubt you lot will have some suggestions and queries that will help direct my efforts.

Fetch, the cone of distribution posted earlier was interesting. I am interested in the game theory of this game - I may be over thinking it but if we know that the corners and edges are least frequented and prime hiding spaces maybe that means they're the first places to go to. But to get there you must travel through the center and middle squares possible removing any gains of trying to game the game. It will be interesting to see where people hid and where the searcher searches especially once months of data is available.

Here's the barebones of the new game:

How it works
The game generates a big three mile square with you at the centre. The square is cut into a grid of 1600 smaller squares.

During any given, unlock as many squares from your grid as possible (C19 permitting) by visiting them during your training. These are the places where you can 'hide'. Before the month is up, you must choose one of these squares as your hiding place.

When the first game kicks off (1st of the month), a lone seeker must start finding people, by visiting the squares. When someone is found, they become a seeker too. The seekers can then collaborate to flush out the hiders, and a growing army of seekers hunt down the final hiders.

The last person to be found will become the seeker for the following month.

IMPORTANT
