Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I guess it’s down to individual situations I took it and it pain came back very quickly, as I am through all the extreme symptoms I’ve never gone back to seek any hormonal support & docs have never suggested it. Glad for you both it’s been ok.

Had a good chat with my GP yesterday.

It was a chat to discuss HRT and biopsy results and symptoms I’ve had this year. It looks like I’ll be having a mirena coil in the next 8-10 weeks to replace my 200mg of Utrogestan. Once my body has settled down after doing that I’ll be trying a lower dose patch. Currently my patch is an Evorel 100, she’d like me to get on to 75 if possible but she said she definitely wouldn’t push it if my symptoms weren’t controlled.

It was a good chat. Since doubling my Utrogestan the bleeding has settled but I’ve noticed my usually regular bowels have slowed down which is very annoying. Dr is pretty sure this is due to doubling the utrogestan. She also mentioned that the higher dose increases risk of breast cancer and so I feel the mirena is a good step. (Hopefully).

Just bloating and bleeding on and off for a few weeks. It settles after that both times. I was advised to up my oestrogen after a few weeks if the bleeding persisted which I did and maybe coincidence but it stopped after about a week and that was it almost 5 years of nothing.

Further to my post a few days ago regarding bloating.

This is what I normally look like
and was taken Xmas Eve

This is what it’s like when it puffs up this was on Thursday

I appreciate they were taken at different angles but I had to change out of my jeans into leggings as I was so swollen.

Nothing untoward that I noted and I’m back logging food / exercise.

That is quite noticeable and I bet uncomfortable. Maybe worth checking out some of the Zoe podcasts on gut health?

Since me and Mr S changed our diets, we're eating far less bread, flour and obvious starchy carbs and eating more fermented type stuff - yoghurt, kefir, kimchi, pickles. Over Christmas, we reverted to sandwiches, pastry etc and Mr S had a day or two of bloating and feeling lethargic.

For us, it's not a case of cutting things out, more certain things in small doses. I never thought Mr S would give up his addition to white bread!
