Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

People on twitter were saying it was more like the Australian version. I've never seen that. I don't mind them changing things, keeps it interesting.

It was a good mix of contestants too.

It’s nice to see their personality in their signature dish straightaway

I thought they did the 'turn up with your stuff for your signature dish' last year as well ...but not with G & J in a separate room as they are doing now.
The Aussie format has people earning 'immunity' pins that they can use to bypass a challenge but I haven't really watched it, just drifted over to it whilst cooking to escape the news for a bit.

I like the Aussie one but it drags on for So Long! You have a round where they compete for an immunity pin, a general round, a round to chose the best 3 dishes, one to choose the worst three dishes, then an elimination round, all to get rid of one contestant! And sometimes they chuck in a show where the chef judges do a demonstration which is all well and good but it just takes up more time.

It’s biggest saving grace is that Greg ‘I’m not a chef and have nothing useful to say, I’ll just get in the way and grin inanely like a deranged shark’ Wallace isn’t in it.

No spoilers but tell me when you've watched those two episodes so we can talk!

I’m finding the cooks too ‘professional’ this year.

If they’re that good they need properly testing - get Monica in with a skills test, plus the invention tests.
