5k - lovely indeed. I’m working back up towards Pink Mist. It’s an interim goal. |

Helegant, I benefited massively from the Harriers beginners swim sessions. I wasn’t exactly a beginner but I hadn’t swum for a while. It really helped to go back to basics. I don’t use the toys much (except the gps of course) but I’m always trying to think about one of two of the bits of the stroke from the sessions. (When I feel I have those nailed I’ll be ready for another coaching session to find out how wonky my nails are 😀)

Lovely 30 minute swim at lunch time, just 2 of us in the lane and no rain or fire alarms to contend with. And I seem to be getting faster. Same session 2 weeks ago 2:22 per 100m, 1 week ago 2:18, this week 2:17. I treat my Friday lunch time like a tempo swim. Go out fairly hard but try to keep consistent pace for half an hour. |

Yes but no. It looks amazing, but I'm currently injured and unable to swim. Even if I wasn't, I don't think I have the time to train properly for it. Does look amazing, though.

I'd love to do a particular shorter swim in another country, but I suspect the budget won't work, so this one looks like a suitable 'runner up'. It's *only* three times as long as my longest still-water swim to date... |

You’ll smash it. that’s on my list but don’t think I can do both the other one and that one in the same year.

I’ve been eying up swimming Windermere. It’s a big challenge. Love the idea of finishing at (and supporting) Brathay Trust.
