A 5.5 mile road run,m issed the trails but couldn't be helped today. Just had 2 rest days that were hard work, wanted to run really but thought I should try and rest as race on Saturday. Not a long one 10k but coastal trail and will be hilly and muddy (joy). I am not convinsed about rest days, last week felt strong and ready, then after 2 days off felt like crap and worried running legs had gone. Still newish to this running lark, only started last summer and this will only be my 5th race so still trying different things out. OOPS , turned into bit of a rant sorry. My brain hurts, toooooo much thinking I think, oh no there I go again ...... |

nout today wont be until Sunday now but i do get in lots of walking , miles and miles in fact every week on my letter box deliveries keeps me lean amd mean and phscyologically pretty good and mentally strong so i canny grumble |

G-man, your not alone I alway's feel slower and more heavy legged after an additional rest day, but it is good for you once in a while to avoid injury, good luck with the race on saturday.
