Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Great run today, a cheeky little 6-miler round the park in the fog. Spooky. :-)

8.06min/mile @ 70%WHR average for each mile split. Well happy with that.

Deceptively Hard and hilly 10K race in the beautiful Saltwell Park, Gateshead. Very cold and icy but the sun shone and it was a great morning. Somehow did a PB. Obviously the trick is to not train and get drunk at as many Christmas do's as possible ! :-)

Ran the Wellington Monument Road Race. A hilly race incorporating 1654 metres of bridle path. No time yet as it wasn't until after crossing the line, stretching a bit and queuing for a drink that I realised I hadn't stopped my watch! What a numpty! I think I did it in 53 - 54 minutes so very pleased with my time.
A very cold and crisp morning with beautiful sunshine made this a special day.
Race started outside the Catherine Wheel pub in Hemyock, into a steep (16% Hill) ascent for 1/2 mile and then onto a circuit of Wellington Monument which incorporates a mile of stone track and then back along the same route (down that steep hill again) to Hemyock CP School. Really saps the legs.
Considering I have been developing a cold and did consider not racing. I feel I did really well and next year I will run up all of the hill out of Hemyock (it was so steep and a killer).
Well organised and with a classy momento, hot toddy and mince pies at the end a great event. Well done to the organisers.

Rather enjoyable two hours worth after not really feeling that much like running to start off with.
