Just shy of 11 miles for me today. I don't do enough long training runs so Im trying to put that right! It was raining and windy outside but I was glad I went out - really enjoyed getting drenched! ![]() |

Rubbish...Thorpe Park 10K...weather poor (wet and very windy)...crowds asleep...marshalling a joke!!! I was on target to run a sub 45 minute 10K but crossed the finish line after 5.2 miles!!! It transpires that one of the marshall sent all the runners the wrong way!!! I was very annoyed and disappointed as I had a 120 mile round trip to run this one and I had hoped to finish this year with a sub 45 minute 10K!!!. Grrrrrr ![]() |

Got a head torch earlier today and did my 11.5 miler up & over the moors and back down a canal towpath in the dark for the first time - horizontal rain on the tops made it fun (ha ha!!) but there was some dodgy people on the towpaths , i'll find a different way back next time as i usually run on my own (can't usually find anyone who wants to do anything more than 5 miles)

Fatboyrunning - good to meet you in the Rob Roy Inn after the Buchlyvie Half. I agree, it was a real slog - deep mud, puddles that made it feel like swimming in a tri at some points and very slippy. But was good fun, great atmosphere and i think the marshalling and organisation generally was great. And so was the pint of 80' after! By the way, results are up already buchlyvie10k.co.uk (a girl I spoke to after reckons it was 21.5K according to her GPS, which is 3-400m too long, so your time is looking even better)!! Cheers, Gavin

Welcome Grrr. Nice avatar by the way, Managed a fairly boingy 5.2m in 38mins. Usual embankment loop and will update my log later. Too be honest, it has been the only 38 mins so far today, where I feel I've actually achieved anything. Hey ho |
